Week #2 of the weekend season!
Hey guys,
Here is the schedule for this weekend:
Feb 1st 2009
8:00 Hockey Gods vs Camel Toe
9:15 Habs vs Wrath
10:30 Northern Exposure vs Rangers
11:45 Firebirds vs White Wolf
BY FOR BLADES
From now on and until further notice, our games will be runtime instead of stop time. The periods will now be 18min long with the exception of the 3rd period that could become stop time in the last 3 min if the teams are within 2 goals of each other. There will be a 5 min OT (runtime as well) but no more shootout. During the playoffs, we will have sudden death OT. Penalties will now be 2min. In addition, the refs were advised to use their discretion to assess delay of games (teams have about 8-10sec to get set-up) when teams drag their feet. If it occurs, a warning will be given. If the response is still not satisfactory, the referee will either drop the ball even if the faulty team isn’t in position or assess a bench minor for delay of game.
Also, we are looking for new refs. You will be trained and paid for your time. Please reply to me at jfpare@rmy.emory.edu if interested.
