2007-2008 ECHL KELLY CUP PLAYOFFS!

WINNER TAKE ALL TONIGHT IN CHARLESTONGladiators Take Game Four with 3 – 0 Win

To Force Deciding Game FiveGame 5 Viewing Party tonight at Bogey’s
Remember the great line from Animal House? The one where Bluto goes - Over? Did you say “Over?” Nothing is over until we decide it is. Well – with last night’s dominating 3 – 0 win over the South Carolina Stingrays, the Glads have forced a deciding Game 5 in the South Division Semi-Finals. Whoever wins tonight’s game in North Charleston will advance to take on the winner of the Texas Wildcatters / Columbia Inferno in the South Division Finals.

In last night’s victory, the Gladiators opened up the scoring in the second period on a power play goal by defenseman Jamie Milam. Milo’s shot hit South Carolina goalie Josh Johnson, flipped past him and then slid slowly into the net to give the Glads the first lead of the game. Gwinnett then added two more goals in the period – one from defenseman Scott Marchesi (his first professional goal) and another from Bryson Busniuk. The last two goals added extra insurance, but the first one was the only one necessary as Gladiator goaltender Craig Kowalski stoned the Stingrays and posted his second shut-out of the post-season.

So, it’s winner take all in Charleston, South Carolina tonight. If you would like to come out and enjoy the game with the Gladiators staff and fans – please come join us tonight at Bogey’s Sports Pub on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. Bogey’s will be broadcasting the game live beginning at 7:00 PM.

Should the Gladiators advance, their opponent in the South Division Finals will be either the Texas Wildcatters or the Columbia Inferno.
